The Canadian Light Source is a national research facility, one of the largest science projects in our country’s history, and the brightest light in Canada—millions of times brighter than even the sun—used by over 1,000 scientists from around the world every year in ground-breaking health, environmental, materials, and agricultural research. Our tours will cover the history of the facility, the equipment, and examples of the research that has been performed here by scientists from around the world.
Do you have fond memories of the Museum of Natural Sciences? Maybe a favourite spot? Would you like to show your family? At the museum, you can explore the story of geological time and evolution on Earth through exhibits and displays that include dinosaur replicas, fossils, live animals and plants, rocks, and minerals. Join us for a tour and some hands-on activities for your family. Times to be determined.
The recreational facility is the new home of the University of Saskatchewan Huskie hockey, basketball and campus leagues as well as the Midget AAA Contacts and Midget AAA Stars of the Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association. The Merlis Belsher Place replaces the rustic Rutherford Arena which was the second oldest facility still in use in Canada.
